Since the Chiefs made the move to put All-Pro Guard Joe Thuney at LT, their run game has gone from one of the best, to one of the worst. The Chiefs went from the best interior run game to pretty damn bad just like that. The move is to protect Mahomes' blind side.
This has been a big factor for the Chiefs run game. It has been nonexistent. Against one of the best, if not the best, run games in football, it will have to be Mahomes. I expect to see tons of short passes in this one to keep the sticks moving. While the Chiefs have not been as explosive as in the past, they have been damn efficient on a per drive basis. They move the rock consistently, and against this Eagles offense... Watch for the Chiefs to play a little keepaway with the short passing game.
