Last year's Cy Young Winner, Sandy Alcantara, started off the season slow. His main issue was control. He was starting behind in counts, leading to multiple walks or grooving pitches. He has fixed that over the past month+ and has been close to his form last year. Since July 1st, he has a 2.5 ERA and his analytics point to him continuing his recent success. He has room for improvement given how well he has pitched which is always promising. Against the Padres lineup who thrives against LHP, Alcantara can take care of business today. All year long the Padres have been average AT BEST vs RHP and have been sturggling as of late. A great spot for Alcantara.
On the flip side, Lugo has been consistently good all year. A groundball pitcher with a solid K:BB ratio, Lugo should be in a great position to go 6-7 IP vs this weak Marlins lineup vs RHP. The Fish have ripped LHP all season long. They have been mediocre vs RHP as of late, but have been one of the worst teams vs RHP all season long.

Fleetwood has never won a tournament on American soil. He has the most Top-5 finishes in PGA Tour history without a win. There is no better time to "Win" a tournament, when there will be no pressure on him. He is starting 7 strokes back from the leader, so he will be chasing all weekend. This bet is not for him to win the tournament from 7 strokes back, but to have the lowest score from Thursday-Sunday. It is a little confusing, but it is what it is.
