One of my favorite plays in a while here. Michael Wacha has been great this year. His 10-1 record and 2.56 ERA tell you all you need to know (if you just look at the surface). He has been able to strand an absurd amount of baserunners this year. His K/BB ratio is always relatively mediocre. It is a great spot due to a couple of factors. The Rays at home are phenomenal. In their two appearances vs Wacha this year, the Rays have hit him very hard. His exit velocity allowed in his two games vs the Rays are almost the hardest vs any team this year. The Rays have been seeing and hitting Wacha. Now we get a phenomenal line of O/U 3.5 total runs and (-110) on the ML because of how Wacha has performed vs other teams this year.
The Rays have been the one of best teams vs RHP over the past month+ and we look for them to continue that success here today.

Houser is a groundball pitcher. There is no better value on a total than a groundball pitcher in Coors Field. The numbers for the totals are always inflated. Now add in the fact that the Rockies have been struggling to hit the ball vs nearly anyone and we have a great number to start the day.
