After getting embarrassed by Joel Embiid last night, this Nets team will come to play. No one likes being publicly embarrassed. Joel Embiid's celebrations were a direct shot at the Nets.
It is Kobe Day. No one was closer in today's NBA to Kobe than Kyrie Irving. While normally, I give Kyrie a hard time about his effort on the court... Over the past couple weeks without Durant, he has played his best basketball in years. He is leading on both ends of the court. This Nets team is missing Durant, but they have built some solid chemistry playing without him. With Ben Simmons & Nic Claxton, they are a different team on the defensive end.
The Pistons have been the worst team as of late. Against a weak schedule, they have been the worst shooting team from the field while allowing the highest EFG% on defense. Their defense has been non-existent. This will be a welcoming game for the Nets who have played a pretty damn tough schedule since Durant got injured. There is always the worry that the Nets will start slow, but my money is on them coming out fired up on Kobe Day led by Kyrie.
