This is a great spot for an under here today. A great combination of pitching matchups and weather combine to give us some serious value. The Tigers have stuggled to rip off any sort of winning streak this year. Back-to-back wins is a feat for the Tigers. So we go for the 1st 5 RL here today. They could cover this run line with a 1st 5 score of 0-0 for all I care.
A couple numbers on why the under, specifically for the Blue Jays. The Jays have nine right handers in their lineup... NINE. Logic says that they would be one of the best teams vs LHP. Crazy enough, it is the complete opposite for the Jays. They are the best team vs RHP in the entire MLB and very, very mediocre vs LHP.
Now the weather. With no rain in the forecast, the roof will be open in Toronto.
The under in this one is just as much on the wind/weather as the Blue Jays struggles vs LHP. All nine of the Jays hitters bat right-handed. The Tigers have four switch hitters, and against LHP will also be hitting from the right side. With almost all the hitters tonight batting from the right side, any ball pulled into left field will be DIRECTLY into a solid wind. For a team that loves home runs like the Blue Jays, that is a nightmare. Now if one connects on something to the oppostite field, that ball will fly. Pitchers will target the inside part of the plate to minimize the damage done to right field.

For every reason we are taking the under in the Blue Jays game, we are going the opposite here in this one. The wind is blowing out, the Rockies are 10x better at home and vs LHP than on the road. The Dodgers have been one of the best hitting teams on the road all year long. Currently they are crushing the ball... Now place them in the most hitter friendly ballpark and we are sure to see some fireworks.
I would play the over simply off those numbers alone. Forget about adding in today's pitchers. Both have been getting hit hard and are due for some regression. Urena & Anderson have been shelled in prior meeting by tonight's opponent.
Let's see some fireworks.
