UConn vs Colorado
UConn -15 (-110) *Consensus
Had a little personal bet on Memphis yesterday, and like them again today vs Michigan St.... Double Free Play. UConn is the real deal once again. They are the best coached team in college basketball, and will look to bounce back vs a mediocre Colorado team. Colorado lost a ton from last year. They were one of my favorites with Williams, Simpson & De Silva... They lost their top-6 producers from last year and replaced them with all transfers.. There is no worse team to go against than Dan Hurley and this pressure defense after a loss. Going up against a weak schedule to start, they have struggled with turnovers. They dominated the boards against some bad, bad teams in the first couple games, but could not do that vs a real team in Michigan St. UConn should win the rebounding and turnover margin and it will come down to whether or not Colorado can catch fire from 3P range. If not, UConn will cruise today.

Memphis vs Michigan St
Memphis +1.5 (-110) *Consensus
I think Memphis is the real deal. They have two great guards in Haggerty & Hunter to lead the way, and have a couple different bigs to hold down the paint. Haggerty is an unconventional point guard. If you have ever watched him, it looks ugly.. Nonetheless, he is one of the best point guards in college basketball. If he can do it vs UConn, he can do it vs anyone. He is a poor man's James Harden, which is still an insanely good basketball player. He has 20+ in 4 of their 1st 5 and at Tulsa last season finished the season with 20+ in 11 of his last 13. He is able to win off the dribble repeatedly and helps him get to the line a ton. It also draws double teams. With two great shooters in Hunter & Colby Rogers, and a great supporting cast of bigs...I think Memphis is the better team at this point in the season.
The key factor in this one will be Michigan St's ability to shoot from the perimeter. This season, they have lived inside the paint, on the glass and at the line. Memphis is long and athletic inside, which will make it a challenge for Mich St. They have been one of the worst 3P shooting teams in the country this season, and have shot them at one of the lowest rates. With Memphis' size inside, if Mich St is not able to get hot, Memphis will get out in transition where they are at their best.
