UMKC vs American
This game being in Puerto Rico is weird, but UMKC should still roll today. This UMKC team is impossible to judge through 5 games, as they have played two top-10 teams, then three D2 schools who they all smoked. Now they get an American team that simply stinks. UMKC launches from 3P range and has the ability to get very hot. Against a bad, bad American defense, they should have some room to fire. The combo of guards Jayson Petty & Jamar Brown will be too much for American to handle. Their size across the board will be a tough matchup inside and on the boards. For a team that loves to shoot 3s, the offensive rebounding opportunities should be there all game. Against the two top-10 teams, they got smoked on the boards.. Against the three D2 schools, they got 50+% of their offensive misses in each game. I figure this will be in-between, but they will have a clear advantage.
