Jake Browning vs Nick Mullens. Certainly does not feel like an exciting macthup, but given these two defenses... We could see some points.
The Vikings are one of my favorite built teams from top-to-bottom. While they are banged up and on the short side of talent on defense, DC Brian Flores has this team competing. The defense for the Vikings has been great, but this is mainly due to the schedule they have played. Now they get the desperate Bengals who have been balling with Jake Browning. I am a big fan of Browning's game. With the WR room healthy, they should be able to attack the secondary of the Vikings who will be on an island given the amount they blitz. While the Vikes defense may make some big-time plays, they will also give up some big-time plays.
On the other side of the ball, Nick Mullens is getting the start for the Vikings. Mullens came in at the end of the game and let the Vikings down the field for a game-winning FG. While he is certainly not good, he has shown the ability to make the passes needed. With a great playcaller and weapons out wide vs arguably the worst secondary in the NFL this season... The Vikings will be able to move the ball through the air.
This is a playoff game for both teams. Must win. If they get behind, the foot will be on the gas. This should add to the potential for some more 2H points down the stretch.
